The Entrepreneur Stream under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program is one of the most popular pathway for business migration to Canada.

• Prepare before registering an online Expression of Interest (EOI) by understanding what and EOI means and what shall be the requirements
• Register an online EOI
• Wait for the Invitation to Apply. If you receive the invitation, prepare an application to the Entrepreneur Stream
• Submit your application by giving all the mandatory information, uploading the required documents, reading and agreeing to all the declarations and authorizations as well as submit the application fee
• You application will be reviewed after the submission and you will be required to attend a mandatory interview
• If your application gets approved, you will have to sign a Performance Agreement outlining the commitments you have made to invest and create jobs in the province.
• If everything is approved, you will be issues a temporary work permit support letter to apply for temporary work permit from IRCC in order to set up the business in Ontario
• After you arrive in Ontario with the temporary work permit, you will be given 20 months to establish your business and implement your business plan
• Once all the requirements of the Performance Agreement are met, you become eligible to apply for nomination by the OINP for permanent residence in Canada

• Experience of at least 24 months of full-time business experience in the last 60 months as a business owner or a senior manager in business management
• Minimum Net Worth of CAD 800,000 if the proposed business is located within the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and CAD 400,000, if outside GTA
• Minimum personal investment funds of CAD 600,000 if the proposed business is located within the GTA and CAD 200,000, if outside GTA
• Active involvement in the management of the proposed business on an ongoing business
• Control of at least one-third of the equity in proposed business
• The primary purpose of investing capital into the business should not be to deriving interest, dividends or capital gains
• Commitment to create at least two permanent full-time jobs for Canadian citizens/permanent residents for a business located within the GTA and at least one permanent full-time job for a Canadian citizen/permanent resident for a business located outside the GTA or in the ICT/Digital Communications sector
• At least one business-related visit to Ontario in the last 12 months from the date of registering an Expression of Interest, if an existing business is purchased or is planned to purchased
