Eligibility requirements for French Talent Passport Visa in 2022

Applicants must make a minimum investment of EUR 300,000 (INR 2.54 Crore) directly or through a company with a minimum 30% shareholding. The investment must be made in fixed tangible or intangible assets in a business. And the applicant must create or retain jobs with the business and investments. Furthermore, the applicant must own a minimum of 10% shares of the company in which investment is made in France.

Pathway to Permanent Residency / Citizenship

Applicants must commence their procedure by arranging all the required documents for the business investment. Upon arriving in France, applicants need to apply for Long Stay Residence Permit from the department of residence within three months. The permit will allow the applicants to work, stay, or conduct business for four years. If the investment is maintained, there is a provision for the extension residency permit. After five years of continuous residency in the country, the applicant can apply for permanent residency in France. Immediately after receiving the permanent residency and five years of residence, applicants become eligible for French Citizenship.

To attain Citizenship, the applicant must demonstrate a sufficient French language proficiency for daily life conversation and integration into the community. They also need to maintain background and clean criminal records. The same parameters will be considered for the Citizenship of the applicant’s family members. The citizenship process is entirely at the discretion of the French Administration.
