• The company outside Canada and the enterprise inside Canada must have a qualifying relationship.
• Both enterprises must be actively engaged in doing business regularly and continuously. The mere location in Canada isn’t enough to fulfill the requirement.

Anyone who meets the criteria mentioned above can apply for an LMIA-exempt work permit or intracompany transfer to Canada. Depending on the location of the foreign company, work permit applicants can be submitted near the port of entry or at the nearest visa center.
