US EB-5 Visa Investment is now reduced to USD 500,000
In an unprecedented development to the judicial case between Behring Regional Center LLC vs. Chad Wolf, the United States Court removes the US EB-5 visa modernization regulations, which previously increased the investment in 2019. With the new order by the US Court, the EB-5 visa minimum investment is now restored to USD 500,000 that would create a minimum of 10 jobs for Americans.
After the modernization of the EB-5 program, the investment requirements were increased from USD 900,000 to USD 1.8 Million. Now the modernization has been withdrawn by the new court order. The decision also reaffirms creating workable solutions to improve the EB-5 program, functional modules, integrity measures, and increase immigrant investor protections. The US Congress is also aiming to address a holistic reform through legislation and regulations.
Since its inception, the program has injected more than $41 billion and generated more than 820,000 full-time jobs for US skilled workers. Now, America is looking to add more investment and capital. However, the DHS may re-appeal for the decision taken, and the new investors may have a small window to file the EB-5 Visa I-526 application with only USD 500,000 (INR 3.72 Crore).
